Institution of Engineers, Australia, Fellow Chartered Professional Engineer. Has nearly 40 years’ experience in the civil and structural design of a wide variety of engineering structures,ranging from high rise buildings, to bridges, to sports stadia, and latterly to cement silos. Some major projects were the proof design of the precast concrete immersed tubes of the Sydney Harbour tunnel, the detail designs of the roof of the Sydney Olympic Stadium and of a large industrial building to house a continuous slab caster. He has worked in the United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, where he set up the local office of an international consultant, and the Philippines where he is now living. He has published articles constructural collapse, collapse investigation, plastic design forsteel structures, and brittle fracture of steel structures.
